We are delighted to announce that our consumer panel has reached over 3,000 members. This is a significant milestone for us and means that we are better able to represent the experience of disabled and older people in the UK today.
Now, perhaps more than ever, we need to make sure that the voices of those most under-represented are heard by organisations that design and deliver the products and services that we all use.
Some of our most recent panel research has looked at people’s experiences during events like the pandemic and the cost of living crisis and shows they are invariably hit hardest. This is why their views must be represented.
We’ve been working hard to ensure the panel is more representative of the UK population, and we’re already seeing the effects. But we’re not stopping there. We want to grow our panel community further.
If you are already part of the panel - thank you for your generous support. If you’re not a member, please do consider joining us.
“I don’t believe people go out intentionally to make life more difficult for disabled people. They are just unaware. It’s the role of organisations like RiDC and us as panel members to raise awareness - to say ‘If you did it this way you would have more customers’.” RiDC Panel Member
Our panel is open to anyone who identifies as being disabled (which includes those living with physical or mental health conditions) and older people.
It’s free to sign up and there is no commitment to take part if you don’t want to. We’ll email you with opportunities to get involved in surveys, user testing and focus groups. Many members find it a rewarding and interesting experience and gain a great deal from having their say on the products and services we use every day, making our world more accessible to everyone.
